JLR Security

Evening. I’m a current Rangie owner (2012) which fortunately doesn’t have the keyless entry, which seems to be the source of JLR’s security woes.

Mrs JW911 is about to acquire a 2018 F-Pace, which has keyless entry, to replace her Freelander.

First, does the F-Pace have the same issues as the LRs? I’m assuming so.

Second, have JLR offered a fix of any kind?

Third, how can I disable the keyless entry?

Yes, F-Paces are getting stolen unfortunately. Get a Ghost 2 fitted. Mine's going in for its service in a couple of weeks and hopefully I'll be getting the security update.

I was also wondering whether this update applied to my 2019 FPace SVR as all the blurb refers to RR. I have been in touch with Jaguar to check but no response as yet. I assume that they have many 1000’s of cars to update so I guess this will all take time.
