Hi All,

Looking for ideas on a large estate car as we are a camping/biking family and need the room.

Budget: £15-20k
Requirements:
Petrol (as won't do that many miles)
Auto
Heated front screen
Heated steering wheel
Car Play
Large boot

Was looking at Skoda Superb or similar but wanted to see if I'm missing something else that's obvious to others?

Thanks!

Passat 2.0 TSI - slightly less rear seat legroom but makes up for it with better refinement/sound deadening.

XF 2.0i

Mazda 6 2.5

Civic 1.8

Kia Proceed

You want a Mondeo, it ticks every want, the boot although slightly smaller in terms of litres is smaller than the superb its actually wider which can be more useful.

The OP says they are a biking and camping family, that would be a brave choice of interior.

I know, but it doesn't look as good (nor does any car) in black...

Amber was my choice, looks fantastic and didn't mark in family use.

We actually had a V90 CC on one of the crazy low lease deals a few years back and it was an excellent place to be - one of the most comfortable cabins to be in. The winter pack for the heated front screen is good to know - I will take a look.

Someone else posted the L&K Superb - does that have the heated front screen?
I'm also reviewing the other options suggested so thanks to those that have contributed so far.

It has the button (on the middle dial at the bottom of the photo 36) so I would assume it does.

edit, it states heated windscreen in the listing.

L&K Superb has heated front screen. First four I looked on an Auto trader search 70, 68, 67, 17 reg all also had heated steering wheel. One I looked at bottom of price range, 16 reg, heated screen but not wheel.
Also heated rear seats in addition to fronts on all, that's been std on L&K since whenever.

HTH.

Nearly 4 years ago, I bought one of the last Audi S4 Avants, before they went diesel and it is, by far, the best daily driver I have ever had.

Practical, understated yet pretty classy, lovely interior, fast enough, economical enough, and nothing has gone wrong. I will keep it as long as possible.

That's good to know and I am an admirer - but this class of car is too small for our needs. It needs to be A6/Superb/V90 size.

I just sold my 'all options ticked' S4 Avant today, I struggled with the size of the car and there's only two of us and a large dog.

Mazda 6 isn’t in the same class as A6/Superb/E class in terms of boot size IMHO.

A6 isn’t that big, probably 20 litres bigger than the Mazda. Superb seats don’t fold flat either.
