There is some really good content on YouTube.

But something I've seen a couple of times now and which has bothered me is some really bad steering wheel control during "performance road driving".

Beautiful car, lovely winding road, hands all over the place on the wheel.

Not keeping at 9 and 3 like a racing driver. Not feeding the wheel like a smooth road driver. Just grabbing at whichever bit of the wheel is closest to your hand as you change direction.

Aside from being a jerky and ugly way of making progress, whenever the car steps out of line (as they are often trying to cause), it looks out of control. An accident waiting to happen.

Anyone else bothered by this? I want to see a car driven well. Not in a way that would make me ask to get out if I was a passenger.

This has been from American Youtubers if that is perhaps relevant.

I was just watching this video earlier. Interesting video, well filmed, but the last few minutes is just an abuse of a classic Mercedes.

Meh, this subject in general of Youtubers poor driving tends to be associated with a specific few of more extreme antics which have shown little regard for other road users in my view

But, where it all starts getting a bit complex is what are we including as Youtubers driving badly, from Harry giving it a quick squirt up the hill at the national limit (and even without evidence you can tell 60mph is exceeded) or talking about the bad driving of DMO Deejay and his crowd of clowns (whilst also linking to sweets and other frankly dodgy scams).

Problem is I think at least in the UK the issues of David Murray, Timur Khayrov and Joe Achilles (although I understand he did successfully manage to get a number of charges found not guilty due to poor expert evidence) should have reduced the amount of outright stupidity displayed via video platforms, it seems to have only got worse. Now the first two were pisstakes, the issues with Joe Achilles which he documented via his podcast were enlightening and he literally said don't bother exceeding the limit because of the issues that he then went through.

For me personally, the issue around Joe Achilles is true and recording speeding is one thing, but to see what some of the more extreme crowd are doing and getting away with is an utter pisstake (strangely as well it would appear with number plates that don't even exist as registered to vehicles in some cases!)

Some do come across as just morons at the highest level. I don't even see why somebody would want to do it even for 'the hits' - it makes them look so ridiculously irresponsible.

They obviously appeal to a certain an audience who think it's cool and sick.

I don't recall him getting off with any but I do remember him being knackered on this case:

I just wanted to say... driving gloves.

Oh, also changing gear with a paddle shift like they're plucking a cello. WTF.

The expert witness miscalculated some of the evidence for the prosecution....the podcast with petrolped on this was super interesting
