So at presant I’m thinking of the Alfaromeo Guilia Quadrafoglio , Love Italian cars from the early 80s when I had a Fiat Mirafiori Super Sport, There’s just something about Italian cars, What other cars would be in the running???

At the moment supercars are cheap. Running costs haven't changed however.

You can pick up a Merc AMG GT for around that money now. So that is the direction I'd go in I think.

Marcos Mantis Coupe. Lightweight fun like the Noble but with some actual reliability!

On the basis I’ve owned two Nobles over an 18 year/60,000 mile period, and other than annual servicing and preventative maintenance I’ve had two cracked manifolds and an oil cooler failure I’d suggest you’re wide of the mark. Marcus were miles behind even TVR in the 90’s,let alone Noble…( and yes I’do talk from experience having had 4 TVRs that suffered from varying degrees of fallapartability).
Still each to their own !

As a toy or to drive daily? Alfa for daily, Ferrari 360 as a toy

I may be biased

Here is my current stable

Not Marcus - MarcOs. The company that was once described as making cars that were "like TVRs, only built properly"! biggrin

As to Nobles, I've always loved them, and a friend had one and he loved it too. The trouble is, he finally sold it due to its unreliability and subsequently calculated that he only had it at home for about 70% of the days he owned it. The rest of the time it was sitting at a local specialist awaiting parts or repair!

That one would be at the top of my list I think if I needed 4 doors, and a boot.

Something Exige if pure sports.

My Giulia is a veloce TI, its a a fantastic car to drive and the Quadrifoglio is the same only with heaps more power. Its steering is very similar in feel to the Lotus Evora, a quick rack, excellent feedback and much more interesting and less obvious than other fast saloons. Probably insane to buy a new one as depreciation is eye watering, but a £50k used one is a bargain IMO

Then that “specialist” wasn’t a specialist at all.
As for Marcos or MarcOs” whatever that may be,there is a well known long term Noble owner who ended up taking them to court over their TS model that he owned because it was simply garbage from new… bit like my Tuscan. There’s a reason that Noble owners keep their cars long term, even more,go away and come back again.
Anyway,nuff said.

Was it a Mirafiori Sport or Super Mirafiori. There wasn’t actually a Super Sport. The Sports were all 2 Door with a 2 litre engine. The Supers were 1.6 in the series 2 (78 to 82) and 2 litre in the series 3 of 82 to 84.
