It looks like another incident with a US Osprey off the coast of Japan. Hope the crew are OK but it doesn't look good.

Funnily enough, I haven’t seen an Osprey over here (East Northants) for a couple of months now. They used to be a daily sight/sound, passing to and from Mildenhall.

More info added to the bottom of The Drives story as it gets updated -

"Japan’s vice defense minister, told Japanese media that the incident involved a CV-22B from the U.S. Air Force. The Air Force’s 21st Special Operations Squadron flies this type from Yokota Air Base."

BBC now reporting that the US have grounded all Ospreys pending further investigation.
