Does anyone know a safe place to park my motorbike in this area, or indeed anywhere in Manchester City Centre?

for a one off, the ncp on tib street is [iirc] the cheapest in the area, 5min walk.

regularly / on street, i'm fairly sure there's a police station on one of the back streets leading to deansgate with parking bays on the same street. been a long time since i've lived in manchester though.

For how long? I've left mine at the back of House of Fraser for a few hours before but fully chained up to the bike bay railings.

If its an adventure or scooter bike though. Not a chance really.

NCP on Chorlton Street a few hundred metres away, park it in the open air on the top floor out the way.

Or you have underground parking on Q-Piazza on St James St, Manchester M1 4LX. I've had to park in here when i forgot my lock (!!!) and wedged it into a corner. It's targeted for car crime by the druggies mostly due to the hotel above it. So couple of locks on it and you will be fine.

Manchester city centre is no better or worse than any other large City, but much better than London by all accounts.

Try to secure it to a post in an area of high footfall, such as near Central library rather than some seedy quiet back street.

Use a disc lock front and back too if possible.

The issue is the traffic wardens don't like bikes out of designated bike bays so beware of putting it anywhere on a pavement, out of one etc.
