I came across a post on the AMOC forum by a member called JamesW (Jim Walker). I repeat it verbatim, below, with an additional contribution in the thread from a Barney.wj. I post this purely for information of PH. I have done no investigation into these posts and take them entirely at face value, accepting no responsibility.

I recently came across a very sophisticated fraudulent website selling Aston Martin Vantages.
The fraudster claims to be a petrochemical employee, based in Norway.
They invite you to register with a shipping company, who hold your funds in an escrow account, pending your approval when taking delivery.
They are using photographs of cars with false UK plates.
I became very suspicious and uncovered this fraud.
The site they advertise on is called Auto24,which is based offshore.
I will be alerting Aston Martin,The Times and the authorities.
Please pass this message to all our our Aston Family.
These people are very persuasive.
BE CAREFUL.
Jim Walker.

Auto24.ee are an Estonian online car re-seller who currently list over 3,500 cars. All the Astons (5) on sale are LHD, none have UK plates and all appear to have been photographed in the same location.

You'd have to have never been on the internet and have had a lobotomy to not recognise an offshore worker/shipping company/escrow fraud.

'very sophisticated' laugh

'Very convoluted' perhaps. Yes, you'd have to be a complete idiot to fall for such nonsense. A fool and his / her / its / there / theys / thems money are soon parted.
