Perhaps police vans should have a bike in the back for just this sort of thing!

I've been a long time supporter of having a silverback gorilla in the back of police vans, tethered by a long chain and just open the rear doors when there's public order.

Pretty sure the gorilla would be safer in the jungle

Please tell me you're taking the mick out of the OP and you know that it's "could have".

Fair play to him for not giving up. I particularly like the bit where the perp is rolling slowly on the pavement, one hand on his phone thinking he'd got away, as he gets rammed on his LHS. smile

How do you know. Just because you have never seen one doesn't mean they cant smile
🦍🚲

Maybe an idea to get a few more police in city centre areas riding around on bikes or scooters
for faster response and can chase people up alleyways etc.
