Life and Income Protection Insurance

I am nearly 40 and have no life insurance or income protection insurance. I really think I need to do something about this. I have no partner or children so don’t really care about Life Insurance itself, but probably should care about Critical Illness and Income Protection.

Can anyone suggest a good broker that I can discuss this with? I am not looking for high amounts of cover, but do want something in place before it gets far too expensive due to age.

It’s probably more income protection than anything else, but critical illness could be suitable too.

There are lots of insurers available and the friendly societies are worth a look too.
