MOT Help please
Discussion
Hi guys,
I appreciate this is a really long shot but I’d really want to try and find my Grandparents old car that I grew up with. Its a Ford C Max and I know its a pretty boring car but it sparked my interest in cars and it has some really special memories for me. Would anyone be able to tell me the located of the most recent MOT which was on the 1st November 2023 the reg is MT58 HCX.
Thank you for reading my message.

Bent garage/small plot of land used for parking could assist, or ask DVLA if they will pass info on I guess.
free car check shows they have a recorded listing for it being for sale 22/11/2021 but DVLA have last V5 change on 16 June 2022
I have no idea if they will have the listing and any phone number that could help you find out who they sold to though. Was likely a previous listing on Autotrader they found when it was live.
Edit: says it was on cargurus.co.uk, they could possibly help, cost nothing to email asking if any contact info/location, plus cargurus and autotrader etc to see if they have any info to give.

I think you need the v5 to find out the location and even if you did i dont think the garage would hand over the owners details
I thought that, but he's asking for the MOT garage location, presumably to try make contact/have message passed on through the MOTing garage.

Only a few GDPR breaches there NFT
OP, by all means post on forums / social pages in the hope that the current owner(s) sees / replies or someone who knows the owner(s) is willing to ask them after seeing your post, but otherwise you have no valid right to request the information / location / details of the current owner(s) from the DVLA, the previous online retail site, MOT garage, etc, as suggested by the poster above. Also no decent MOT tester / garage owner is going to risk their business by doing this.
I've recounted this before on a similar thread, but someone tried doing similar to this to me years ago. I blocked a user on an RS forum who kept repeatedly messaging me wanting to buy my Mk1 FRS because it was evidently "a waste" having it locked away in storage / not being used. The numerous refusals and blocking didn't work as they then tried (and thankfully failed) to get my details via the DVLA V888 route (now closed) and then thought it was a good idea to try the tuner who works on the car - who also told them where to go in a very strong and not very polite manner.

Probably start with Facebook. Try and get a bit of a page going "help me find MT....." Then cross post it to the local groups. Most towns have local groups.
I suspect that would be the best / easiest way. Used cars of this ilk generally dont travel that far unless it went through WBAC etal then it could be anywhere. I reckon your talking 50 mile radius.
Even after all that work though, I suspect the current owners are not going to want to sell it. Also its probably dogged within an inch of its life now.
Bottom line I would probably forget about it. If you did manage to get it in 20 years its going to be sat on your drive rusting and you wont want to scrap it so its just going to have a slow death and never be used. I think its better its just a memory.
Just my 2ps worth though.

lol, As you will see, I posted no personal information, guaranteed nothing, linked to forum that is rather strict these days and to DVLA advice on site, stated facts of world that bent garage/car park/DVLA could pass something on and Car check site may release the public ad archive that could have details in it, and same for other selling sites "if they have any info to give" (Presumably wouldn't have GDPR protected to give due to rules unless treat it as public archive declared by owner with any mistake their own.)
Rather sympathize that you got hounded though, hadn't crossed my mind as I know someone that actually had a note under wipers, past family wanting to buy it back as their family member died, they'd kept it mint & serviced and delighted as very keen to replace with something better but they sat in it for about 10 seconds then changed their mind.
