Any advice appreciated

This Speed camera in Dorset in Christchurch ,On Hurn rd replaced the old Rearward facing Gatso type

Wife was in a bit of a panic picking up our Daughter thinks she went a tad over the limit on the approach towards this camera , no flash was seen

I think these are infra red ? and capture in both directions , although could be wrong , does anyone know how they operate she was approaching the front of the camera ,as in picture 2 not driving past it

Notice the markings are from the rear facing side ? also no speed camera sign on opposite carriageway

many thanks

I think it's a digital gatso.

Don't forget that a car speedo is NOT a scientific instrument. Most of them overread by around 3mph at 30, plus it's unlikely that the camera radar was set to be exactly on the limit, so there is a bit of wriggle room though perhaps unwise to rely on it.

It's a Redflex Digital Speed Camera. It can operate in both rear facing and front facing modes.

Yep and no requirement for road markings as far as I know,
