So watching a video about Bore Score (yup, I'm about to pick up a 911 996) and they talk about the benefits of TOP TIER Fuel in the US; it's like the premium of premium fuels

What's the equivalent in the UK?

It was Esso Supreme 99, which up until September had 0% ethanol content. Used to go out of my way to the next town to put that fuel in; however as of September they’ve caved in and switched to 5% added ethanol. So it’s basically on par with Shell V Power 99 now. Those are probably the two best 99RON fuels in the UK.

It's worth noting that E5 and E10 are just the maximum amount of ethanol (5/10%) allowed in the fuel. But they could have 0-5% or 0-10% respectively.

Plenty of online videos testing current fuels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q1y1H85nr4&ab...

Top Tier looks to be more additives for keeping components clean

not sure which fuel in the uk dose this best, i would be looking for an additive when filling and only using UK Premium like an Redex - Wynns fuel additive

that is what i take from the video

The engine oil used by most in the US appears to be made to the same spec as Chinese gutter oil, given the videos showing sludging if you do more than 100 yards between oil changes... Is their petrol along similar lines, and hence their "top tier" is actually just what we get as standard (octane content notwithstanding)?
