Just came across this TVR Taimar with T-tops by looking through some ads, believe I have not seen such before in a Taimar, also nice a 302 V8 in it, a bit like a Canadian 5000M but then in a US Taimar.

Looks a little odd to me, possibly it would look better if the door mirrors were frameless?

On a tangent, was there ever a Taimar made that had a decent fit for its tailgate?

The T-Top, when removed, would make ingress and egress a simpler task.

Do you know where the add was from? I thought I saw a T-Top version at TVR North America more than 10 years ago. I could be wrong but I think that version had chopped off window frames but that didn't look better. I think they kept the quarter window but removed the frame at the top of the door at the latch end.

There was also an M Series with a rotary motor installed. Could have been from an RX-7.

There was a white M in Toronto which combined all of the features you mentioned above.

agree on the door mirror, that looks out of place, wrong type, I also want 2 and then say bullit style types, those look beter or indeed those in the corner of the side windows carrera type?
and yes, those big gaps look bad especially the left side. seen better, but also sort like that.
