RR Velar - Thoughts from owners?

Seem to have dropped a bit and have caught my eye - I like the look of them a lot and the size would suit me being a touch more manly than the evoque but more manageable than a full size.
I take it this is an F Pace equivalent?
Due to my driving I think petrol is the way to go , know the diesels have their woes what are the Petrols like?
Reliability wise, presume they are not as bad as the bigger ones but think they have air suspension? I like the thought comfort wise but are they a pain?
Only dreaming at the moment but interested in the P300 in particular.

Our diesel needed a new engine under warranty at 25k miles. Whilst in at LR for this work, the courtesy Velar I had completely and utterly failed whilst driving, a million warning lights followed by a blank dash and me then trying to aim for a suitable piece of grass verge to coast to a halt at. Would have been a disaster if it had been on the motorway. Proper "could'nt make it up" stuff.
Dealership network is hopeless. Our car was eventually returned after "extensive road testing". The performance was woeful as one of the turbo pipes had not been connected.
As a car it's a lovely place to be. Biggest gripes were seat heaters that took forever to warm up, a steering wheel heater that had one setting (core of the sun levels of heat) and a bizarre, wobbly, harsh ride. It would have driven much better with bigger tyres/smaller wheels, and softer springs.
They do look lovely though.

Yes looks wise, I think they are spot on, great proportions and don’t see that many on the road.
Because of your last comment, when I did the 4 mile journey from home to Cobham this morning I counted the number of RR products and also Velars.I thought approved used might be the only option and think that cements it if I go down that route.

32 LR products of which 9 were Velars. Actually, I thought the proportion of Velars was higher than usual.

Interesting comment about dropping a bit - I saw one of these and a FFRR on LR website for sale. Both the same age, the FFRR was better spec and slightly lower mile yet only a £5k difference in price. That makes the Velar look expensive when you consider it probably cost 40-60k less new! Bought an approved P300 this year & really pleased with it.I take it this is an F Pace equivalent?

Good size for us, the wife didn’t want anything bigger
Went for the P300 R Dynamic as our usage is a lot of around town short journeys & was put off by the diesel woes particularly Escys thread.
Wanted the 300 for the extra poke over the 250, near silent in general running & goes well when needed. 5.9 to 60.
Around town short journeys 24/25 mpg & 34 on a run.
Air suspension isn’t standard, ours is on 20 inch wheels & rides comfortably. I didn’t want the 21’s or 22’s for this reason.
Ours has Panoramic roof, head up display, heated/electric seats, Meridian hi fi etc .
It’s Kaikura Stone with light oyster interior which is really nice & the R Dynamic kit looks great.
One issue was an intermittent airbag light, fixed under warranty.
Other than that really pleased with it. Definitely a feel good car that you take a second look at as you walk away!

Firstly the outside swage line which looks so good made the interior feel cramped as it had the effect of making the headroom feel tight as the door cappings are higher than one might expect.
Secondly, it just didn’t feel that special inside, not when considering the original list price.
There is an interesting comment earlier in the thread about the point of it when the Disco Sport exists, we actually ended up buying a Disco Sport.
