Paypal dispute what would you do ?

I had an issue with a VPN supplier charging me a day before the subscription was due this was after I had cancelled the renewal
prior to the charge being made, albeit a day before.
Pay pal dispute opened (currently awaiting seller response on paypal)
I emailed the VPN company multiple times (AKA company 1)
Also the company (aka company 2)that handle the charging for the VPN company.
Company 2 state no refunds as it was not the first year renewal and that they take charge before subscription actually due for renewal in order to maintain full VPN cover, the end.
Company 1 state:
tell me to contact company 2 multiple times on email and chat service.
then finally send me this email (multiple email preceded this :

I waited it out and Paypal rejected my claim
We've reviewed the transaction(s) and are refusing your claim(s). Your claim was refused because you didn't cancel the billing agreement before the transaction took place. See your billing agreement for Terms and Conditions.
I had cancelled the service the day before the charge was due, this was not soon enough apparently.
I contacted the VPN company after this ,
they offered me an additional 18months for free or a full refund of the 12 month subscription I had been charged for.
I opted for the refund as the VPN was not being used anymore.
