Feeder Primary schools to secondary schools
Discussion
The other day, my partner and I were discussing secondary schools for the little one, and we are both a bit stumped on the feeder school(s).
Obviously we would like our little one to get into a good secondary school and give them the best chance of doing so, but we're not too sure how we can obtain the feeder school names.
A bit of Google-Fu has returned nothing.
Can anyone tell me how i can find out which feeder schools would be associated to a secondary school?
The secondary school in question is Bennett Memorial Diocesan School in Tunbridge Wells.
Thanks

As it is part of a trust could it be one of these?

They all publish their admissions / oversubscription policies. https://www.bennettmemorial.co.uk/admissions/. Generally no such thing as "feeder" schools beyond simple geography and overlapping catchments.
Bennett is a CofE school so beyond EHCP / looked after children and staff children it's 2+ years of parent(s) regular (3+ times a month) worship at a CofE church, and living close to the school for the best chance.

The link on the school’s website for its determined admissions doesn’t work. You can find the oversubscription criteria here though:

As mentioned above, feeder schools aren’t part of the arrangements, although plenty of schools do still use them.

It’s all about attending church, to get into Bennett. We’re about 10 miles away & know children that went there, due to being church goer’s. The Primary Schools know the families that attend church & come time for moving to secondary, Bennett liaise with the primary schools.
We aren’t a church going family, but my youngest got offered a place at Bennett, due to a medical condition & the care they could offer. However, we didn’t accept.
Pleased to be beyond the joyous schooling set-up in this part of the country. We all want the best for our children, but the competitiveness & lengths some parents go to is unpleasant.
Basically, if you’re in the area & a genuine church goer, you’re likely to get a place at Bennett.

By law, schools must publish their Admissions Policy in the website. Keeping the website up to date is a real pain in the backside, so a quick call to any school should produce the new one. The Local Authority will also have a page describing local arrangements, in our area most schools still work with the LA to manage the administration of admissions.
Locally one secondary schools name ‘feeder’ primary schools, but this criteria falls below the importance given to others. The criteria must be ranked in order in their policy.

How do they know if you attend church, do they take a register?
They ask for a letter from the Rector/Vicar or one if the Church WardensI quite like going, it’s lovely and peaceful, and good for some inner contemplation.
I know parents who sent their kids to feeder schools which meant a 10-15 minute car journey, twice a day, every day for 4-5 years. Just to 30 mins at church, twice a month, miles easier.
Thank you for the feedback and for the links.
My partner is a genuine church attender, has been since she was a kid with Sunday school. Now she's attends 2-3 Sundays in a month and does the coffee mornings etc.
When leaving the church she will have a card signed to prove attendance, but we are not in the area yet; looking to move to TW next year.
It's reassuring to read the admissions details, it should mean that her commitment will help with a placing in the schools.
