I've had a repaired chip on my 2009 vantage (heated) windscreen, since ive had the car.

My ocd its starting to get to me

Would you pay for a change out yourself or claim it on insurance ?

If your chip was repaired using your Insurance at the time and there is nothing with said repair then I'm not sure that an Insurance claim now would be accepted by them ?
On the other hand if you call Autoglass direct ( or whomever is presumably named in your policy ) and get them out to look at it they may just decide to go ahead and sort out a new windscreen and bill the current Insurer anyway !
I wouldn't mention OCD though.

Sorry, what’s the problem? Has the repair failed?

If it has, claim on the insurance.

If it hasn’t, whats the issue? If and when it does fail you know you can claim on whatever insurance you have at the time without issue to get a replacement.

Can you control if and when it may or may not fail short of not tracking the car? No.

^^^^ I'm with him, doesn't sound as if it's needed. Besides, every claim on insurance has a knock on effect for everyone else paying.

There's also the risk that the replacement won't be installed perfectly, could leak, etc. If it's a small repaired chip, I'd leave it alone.

Im with the rest of the Contributors in that I would simply leave it alone . Autoglass I have reservations about , especially when it comes to removing factory fitted screens .

TTIUWP etc.

On a serious note though, any change of an image?

Placing something next to it - like a rule, finger or coin - will help with resolution/AF and also provide scale.
