All, I took my V8 Vantage coupe for an inspection recently and some weirdness started happening. At first the station could not pull codes, then they told me that they plugged it into the other OBD port and were able to pass the car.

Since then, the traction light went on. I tried scanning the codes with my X tool scanner but it could not read anything other than the emission system through either port. Today when I tried my Autel MS908 scanner, I could not read anything from either port. The cluster is now dead in the sense that none of the gauges work. The ABS light is on.

The car has approx 15000 miles. The battery was replaced last year and is always on charger when not in use. I read a lot about a roof control module, but I don't have a roof. Mine is a coupe with a 6 speed manual.

Any ideas?

So I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. Now the cluster came back to life but I'm getting emission service required. I'm going to have to break down and drive this car.
