Had a depressing chat with parts guy at Mole Valley who told me that the time was soon approaching when spares would simply not be available for the V8 engines (including Range Rovers). I assume that's the reason for ending the superb Chimaera range. Since BMW is responsible for all this is there not a suitable BMW engine for a new Chimaera?

Don't worry, the engines and parts will be available for years yet, maybe not through TVR though.

should sort the good from the bad with dealers and independents. see which one supplies the correct bits!
they'll just be from more varied sources than previously, that's all, because there are plenty of these things about.

Most car companies will provide spares for 10 years after production ends. I don't know if TVR play this game or not but Land Rover will. Maybe TVR will pass it on to David Gerald???

Do BMW own this engine then? I would have thought it would have gone to Ford with the rest of the Land/Range Rover group

also, isnt there a law in the UK saying a manufacturer HAS to provide spares for either 5 or 10 years (cant remember which)?

(Cerbera 4.2 owners with dead clutches please take note! )
