Interesting 2024 Plans?

Anyone got anything interesting planned for 2024?
I think this will be a calmer year for me work-wise (I'm technically retired but ended up busier than ever this year) so I'm going to get some time dedicated to improving my 3D modelling and printing and getting my workshop back into a useable state after using it as a dumping ground in the last quarter of 2023!
Awaiting word on a Visa for Europe so we can do a bit more post-Brexit travel, but they've gone a bit quiet. Time will tell. Got a nice car tour of the Swiss Alps planned with some chums that will be done by the wife and I in the Evora, so that will be fun. I've been before but it was part of a banger rally so I was in a £500 Vectra!

It's technically Spanish but covers all of Schengen in terms of the 90 day requirement.We're fortunate to have some property out there that allows us to apply for a non-resident investor visa. Doesn't help many people unfortunately.

If you're doing the Swiss Alps, I would recommend visiting Livigno (which IIRC is just over the border in Italy). Tax free fuel etc, amazing roads in every direction, absolutely gorgeous and a stone's throw from the Alps.

Not particularly interesting but this will be the first full year in our new house, so very much looking forward to spamming the Homes, Gardens and DIY forum with even more stuff. We have a very decent garden, which Mrs Shed can't wait to get to work on.

After 10 years of working in my business, we closed a major land deal on Friday (29th). Prior to this event, it has been lots of planning, preparation and solidifying our plans. The land deal is the firmal (outward) evidence that we are in business and will be open by 2025/beginning of 2026.
Not bad for a dream and nowhere near the funds needed back in 2014 (estimate of construction of the first facilty then, £20m). Today it is over ten times that, but folks (Space agencies, etc) take it far more seriously.
In January, we aim to add to that with some other grants, equity investors and customers signing up.
Then we can come back to the UK and positively demonstrate how we will achieve it here.
I'd welcome this year being that milestone year when positive things just keeping fall into place. Yet, it is also a refletion that in 10 years, despite briefing former PMs, Ministers, no end of civil servants (having had them talk about the UK being at the forefront of technological innovation and being a leader in marine and Space innovation), when given the chance to support it, they baulk and obstificate and ultimately we had to go abroad to prove the model.
