I have electrical gremlins and want to rule out my earths. I understand they are the following?:

1) Front crossmember, where they body bolts on, under radiator.
2) Under centre console both OS and NS
3) Between chassis and fuel tank
4) Back of engine behind #7 cylinder
5) Behind OS front wheel

Anyone got pics of any of these?

Also I'm assuming the centre console whale tail off needs to come off to get to the centre console earths; anyone got a guide to removal?

I think you are correct with the location of the earths. You are correct you need to get the centre console off. Take the roof off the car as it needs to come up and off. There are 2 bolts on the underside rear of the console. Slacken off the handbrake to allow the lever to go near vertical. This is done with the white adjuster accessed from the rear OS wheel. The whale tail will lift from the rear then when when about 45 degrees pull it backwards. It is just wedged at the front under the dash.

Thanks for that. I've now managed it. What do you think of these earths. I've added some pics for anyone else who might find these useful searching the topic.

They don’t look too clever. A good clean up should definitely help. You might need to check there is good conductivity through that crimp.

i.e. low resistance? What resistance is considered low?

What the meter shows when you short the leads together basically.
They do look a bit scabby, its certainly worth cleaning them up.
