GSXR600 "K" Question
Discussion
Yours is a T plater so presumably a GSXR 600 WW or more commonly referred to generically as an SRAD model. (pron. ESSRAD)
GSXR codes:
97 = WT
98 = WV
99 = WW
00 = WX
The bike was then totally overhauled - new frame, engine, fuel injection, digital clocks, more angular panels...
01 = k1
02 = k2
03 = k3
Another remodelling took place in late 03 - USD forks, projector lamps, etc.
04 = k4
05 = k5
Your SRAD can be updated with K 1,2,3 parts but would need significant fiddling. The tailpiece can be grafted on to give a more angular look and the main fairings will fit if you fabricate some brackets. This can be prohibitively expensive - probably cheaper/easier to just buy a complete K bike.
I did 10 years on various incarnations of the GSXR family, ace bikes - but I just got bored of the constant upgrades the japs continually farm out. I lost a fortune buying the latest/fastest/lightest every couple of years.
Now got a Triumph, significant model changes come with every Ice Age.
