For total beginners.

Not heard great things about Bulgaria from friends that have been, so would rather try somewhere else.

I’ve been to Cormeyer (sure I’ve misspelled that) and Vermont, but my kids have never been - so would rather find gentle tree-lined runs.

Ideally 3 nights…

Hit me…

I took my girlfriend to Borovets in Bulgaria last January (her first time on skis).

Half the resort was closed due to shortage of snow, meaning that the half that was open was very, very busy, to the point that it was dangerous. The beer is cheap. The food is cheap. The skiing wasn't great. Just my thoughts.

I'm off to Morzine/Avoriaz for the 3rd time this year, a cheap long weekend, flights were £120 return, 4 nights accom (airbnb) was £200, its very pretty, lots to do, and great skiing.

Isola 2000, south of France, about 60km north of Nice. Cheap flights to Nice from Heathrow (if that's important to you), then 1.5 hours on a bus to the resort, which only costs 1.60 euro each way. Ski in/ski out hotels, equipment rental shops right on the slopes, vast majority of the runs are blue and green. A small resort where it is almost impossible to get lost. Ideal for beginners and families.

I just spent the week before Christmas there in an all-inclusive hotel (Pas du Loup). Highly recommended for beginners, families and intermediates.

3rd time this year? It's the second of January. Good effort!

Fly into Geneva? Also, how do you sort transfers... taxi?

"Cheap" and "skiing" are not words that sit happily together in any sentence.

Try Slovenia, cheap flights to Ljubljana, just priced up for mid-Feb, around £80ish return with Whizz Air from Gatwick, Kranjska Gora is a smallish ski resort, only 40mins from the airport

Relatively cheap is probably more appropriate.

Very much a scale!
