So if this engine is soooo good (is it?), why doesn't someone build and sell it?

How much would they charge?

That way presumably, I can get a second hand TVR and drop in the Melling engine, thereby turning the go-faster grenade into a super reliable sports car...whaddayareckon?

Sure you can-it will be available soon .The only problem is it will be attached to his new sports car.

Spooky timing that-Speed 6 debate and new car available soon.

I thought he was producing a v8 sports car (or have I remembered that incorrectly?)

How could you possibly think there may be even the slightest connection

Ah, yes, interesting - looked around the web for links, found this on the grandly named "Rochdale Observer":

<a href="www.rochdaleobserver.co.uk/news/s/34/34528_millionaire_al_wants_to_rival_gucci_and_ferrari.html">www.rochdaleobserver.co.uk/news/s/34/34528_millionaire_al_wants_to_rival_gucci_and_ferrari.html</a>

And I quote:

"For £21,000, a car with a distinctive ‘nostril’ front"

Oooh, sounds like the TVR management will be literally shivering with fear at the potential aesthetic impact of Melling's new motor ... heh

Dated April 2004, though.

Oh, and this, Monos' website:

www.melling-group.com/main.htm

My goodness, what an awful website! - hardly inspires confidence

That is what he said in Salisbury - at a nominal £48k.

This is a complete non-starter. The IP rights are split between AM and TVR and you would need the permission of both to produce it or for you to buy it from TVR. I can't see why TVR would bother.
