Loved the cop series in the day, wasn’t a huge fan musically, but another childhood hero leaves us….

I recall him mainly in Dirty Harry 2, where he was superb!

RIP David. He seemed like a decent chap.

When I was at primary school in the late 70s, Starsky & Hutch briefly usurped the Professionals as the 'it' TV series of the hour - lots of 'ooh, did you see it when he bounced off the roof of that car' chat the morning after.

But Bodie & Doyle soon regained the title. Their fast Fords were just more relatable (if less striking) than S&H's Gran Torino...

Both stars of S&H have had some pretty sh!tty luck in their lives.

He didn’t go to jail. He took an anger management course (or something similar) and the charges were dropped.
