Is 40 years old this year.

Yes thats right, FORTY years old.

GTFO.

Still watch it on occasion, and the remastered version is superb, and yet Arnie speaks less than one hundred words throughout the whole film.

"I will be back".

"No, that's not what i wrote. It's 'I'll be back'".

"I don't tell you how to act, so don't tell me how to write a fking script.

40 years old?!

Wow do I feel old now!

You’re right it’s a great film. It’s a shame the series lost its way after T2 the later films had some interesting ideas but they never followed them up. It’s sad to say but the last Terminator film the worst thing was the Terminator itself.

Though anything after T2 has the odd moment, it's pretty amazing how you can keep failing for decades and not get anywhere near what worked with the originals.

They would've been better off calling the latter ones Terminata to avoid disappointment.

And directly comparing performances is a bit telling too. Jai Whatever is a moderately genial meathead as Kyle Reece vs Michael Biehn who runs through every emotion in the book and makes you believe them all.

First pirate video I watched was T2 from the local video shop when I was a young lad.
Couldn't see st lol.

Both films were brilliant though and anything after has just been a massive disappointment.

Salvation is probably the best of the new ones, apart from Bale shouting most of his lines.
