Anything particular I should look for? I would like full leather / elec sunroof, I have a budget of up to £5000 will I get a good one for that, a lot of the cars advertised seem to have very high mileage eg 125000+ would this be problematic, although this would be a third car so would not be intending on putting too many miles on it! Also any insurance recommendations please?

Any thoughts?

For insurance, I'm with Firebond (08704 440556) on a classic policy, they were very cheap (£600, 27, main (only) car, 0 no-claims, driveway, nice area) and very helpful.

Is 125k miles high for say a 20 year car? Or for any Porsche? It's only 6k per year. I would think that very reasonable.

Things to lookout for, as much main dealer history as possible. Belts and bearing changes at the correct intervals and as much history as possible.

Try and buy as new as possible (think '86 was the last year of the S2s)

Check out PH classified and autotrader etc.

Good luck.

I've driven a 928 to work and for pleasure for quite some time now, and I find it to be VERY reliable. All wasserpumpers demand attention to the mechanicals, but they are some of the best driving cars anywhere for the money.

Here is a link you may find of use for future reference.
