Have a big birthday in Mid march.

Want to go away for 7-10 days and do something a bit standout, experience wise ...but seems a funny time of year.

Really fancied Svalbard, but by all accounts not many bears that time of year.....fancied some ski touring but might be a bit touch and go conditions wise in the Alps.....

Maybe take a diving or sailing qual somewhere?
Winter climbing?
Iceland road tour?

Any other ideas or experience for that time of year?

Gorillas in Rwanda? Diving in Kenya? Borneo Jungle hike? Lonely Quarter desert trip? There's loads to do in March. Train across the Canadian Rockies?

That’s cool. Along the same lines how about trekking in Patagonia? We did the W trek last month, I can highly recommend it.

Cheers all for the motivation and ideas, went UAE and into the lonely quarter, a little.
Over to the gulf for scuba diving.
Good stuff, really have the travel bug now.
Oman next time round.
