The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) found the ad was likely to cause serious offence by objectifying women.
The regulator ruled the "image's composition placed viewers' focus on the model's body rather than on the clothing being advertised".
It also noted by focusing on FKA twigs' "physical features", it had "presented her as a stereotypical sexual object".
"We therefore concluded the ad was irresponsible and likely to cause serious offence," it said.

They are at least drinking the product. So it's a valid comparison to me.
Why don't the advertising standards agency just cut to the chase and mandate
- clothes can only be advertised on mannequins, with all the buttons done up
- cars can only be advertised by showing technical drawings and specifications
- food be advertised by listing ingredients and health stats
It seems the asa are massively naive about how the marketing and advertising industry, and indeed a lot of industries, actually work with respect to sex and image.
The asa should stick to adverts being clearly false, or break existing legal or decency standards.
And describing a woman as a "stereotypical sexual object?". I'm not even going near that one.

And describing FKA Twigs as 'a stereotypical sexual object' sounds a bit insulting to me, she must have been happy with her portrayal. This is not the exploitation of an unknown 16 year old.

This is something that has occurred to me recently, with regard to everyone being offended. We are in a regressive period of history, where free speech and freedom of expression is being stifled in the name of progress. The difference between now and fifty years ago is that the minority perpetuating it have access to the Internet to amplify their tiny and otherwise irrelevant voices.
