3000S seatbelts

I have just purchased a 3000S on behalf of a friend. I am exporting the car to New Zealand for him so it will have to go through their import checks which state that the car must be in an "as original" condition. The problem I have got is that at somepoint the original seatbelts have been removed and replaced with 4 point harnesses. Can anybody please tell me what the original seatbelts were off or better still does anybody have some that they don't want? Thanks!
M series seatbelts are perculiar to M series TVRs, ie not fitted to anything else.
IMHO at this age they are a nightmare, locking when you don't want them to lock and vice versa. Also with water ingress the roller mechanism can go rusty!! Mine went to the tip as I didn't want to be responsible for anyone else using them.
How far do you have to go to prove the originality, could you not just fit a more period 3 point (standard) type arrangement that was fixed rather than inertia reel.

I dont wish to appear nosy, but which one is it ? I know that in the past 3 months there was a v.nice silver one, two 'very original' yellow ones, and a red one for sale. I keep a register of 3000S chassis numbers of those which I think remain in the U.K., so this will reduce the number remaining by one.

P.S.: if anyone wants to send me (by Email via my profile) details of their 3000S (chassis number etc), I will update the database. FYI mine is 4714FM, it spent much of its life in the Aberdeen area but is now here in the Deep South (New Forest).

It hasn't been advertised for at least a couple of months but, its a red one No. 4699FM
4699FM has passed through my hands a couple of times in the past but I've not seen it for about 12 years.

It's UCK607V, chassis no 4782FM. A standard 3000S that Adrian Venn rebuilt to full turbo spec in 1993 for Steve Thomas. It's black, and has the stripes to copy the road test car. I have heard there was another replica done, anyone know about this car?

We have the original black show car in being rebuilt at the moment, and I have done another in dark blue with veneer dash ...that disapeared one evening whilst the owner was at church, again this was to full Turbo spec.(as it was then in 1993), and as Oliver will tell you it is very difficult to tell these from the originals, I still wonder where the blue car went to.

I knew I was right to avoid going to church! Very interesting, will have to look out for the blue car. I certainly didn't expect to find mine in the classified pages of "Classic Cars". You definitely did a good job on it, 12 years later it is still going like a train and only the paintwork lets it down a bit now.
Interesting too that there are 100 UK registered 3000S's, I thought it was reckoned there were just 60ish left over here now.

It would be good to meet up with Steve some time, have a good chat and show him the car. It came with so much paper work that I don't need to contact DVLA for a list of previous keepers. All of them really seem to have loved it - apart from the last 1 or 2.

Some of the info in the database is now quite old, so this really helps. I do wish the TVRCC were able to release the Model Register details like in the Good Old (pre-Data Protection) days.
