A nice 6K Miles, 04 Yellow Monaro just went on Ebay for £19150. I was very tempted, but sight unseen is a bit scary.

I wish someone would sell me their Monaro for £5000 :)

Hi Rich,

There was a Pontiac GTO down New Orleans way which they will be happy to get 5000GBP for, it may need a wash down.

sight unseen eh ?

I'm sure the seller would have been happy for you to pop round for a look before the auction ended, plus its under warranty so any issues could be resolved at a dealers. Dont know how low prices will get being a rareish car but someone got a bargain.....

Yes well some of us dont quite have as much money as others, so its worth trying to save.. for petrol.
I spoke to the guy, no viewings, but as you say its under warranty. Only just got pipped seconds from the end in any case by someone with more needs than I.

They are cheap enough i reckon,

24995GBP for an '05 VXR with 5000mls at MotorBodies, Luton last week. Somebody's gonna get a bargian...

I heard that dealers are "panic-pricing" them at the moment because the loss of the new '06 cars is confusing the market......

Not happy about it 'cos I paid full whack for mine.

I assure u that there is no panic pricing as you put it. There are a limited number of cars to last a long time. No need to under price.

Then I stand corrected. Many Apologies. Obviously the chap i spoke to had the wrong idea.
BUT When I bought mine there were no discounts, and plenty of assurances that the marque would not plummet like a dead dog falling of a cliff. Then to see second hand cars with similar mileages and the same age go for 12k below what I paid at six months old, it occured to me that the rate of decent was even worse than Jaguar residuals. Something must have changed in a market which looked to be very strong to take a downturn of such proportions....

I love the car, but financially it's making less and less sense every month....
