Universal Brake Resevoir Cap

Feeling stupid, just been outside to top up fluid in the wifes Mk7 Golf, dropped the cap down the back of the engine, can't find it!

Mrs bending my ear about work in the morning, so went and stole the cap off the Quattro, the brake fluid cap didn't fit but thankfully the clutch cap off it did for now...

Quick question, are they all universal now? The brake bleeder kit I have only has a few attachments for it so would surely make sense... Ebay prices shocking for a piece of used plastic

I rest my case!
If it's the common 45mm 'Euro' cap, then yes that's a common size thread, but seals/vents etc may vary. Ring VW, you might find that a genuine one isn't as dear as you think.
