Think I need a decent but simple PS book with lots of the tutorials in it so I can learn a few more things.

All I ever seem to do is resizs and use the image/adjust stuff. I want to learn more funky stuff too.

That one did spring to mind but I thought it might not be the best bet being so commercial and all.
Thanks.

I'll just third that suggestion.

It doesn't "teach" you photoshop as such but shows you, very simply, how to do common tasks on photographs. I actually found that a great way to then tweak/play with the technique.

Had a look at the Kelby book in Heffers on sat and was going to buy it but noticed that all the pictures in the book are from mac format.

Is there one for PC too or is PS6 the same on mac and pc?

Also, can someone reccommend the best site to buy it from. Amozon?

I have the Kelby book (Photoshop CS2 for digital Photographers) and it is EXCELLENT, very useful to quickly find out how to do something.

More comprehensive and equally as well written is Martin Evening's book - "Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Photographers". This is a massive tome, and was recently recommended as THE book by the British Journal of Photography. I bought it on the strength of this and I must say I spend more time with this book now than with Kelby's.

I agree. Martin Evening's book is the book to get.

Why ?

- its comprehensive and the right size.

- shows you before and after images so you know what your trying to achieve.

- Covers everything to do with photography and photoshop.
