Reading about this today. Seems quite plausible and means the west needs to find far more money to spend on defence.

With potential for other conflicts to escalate such as with Iran the west will need deep pockets leaving little money to fix other areas.

Will NATO hold together if Trump wins could be just the opportunity for Russia to test Europe.

Clickbait chip wrapping; it's a plan for a very unlikely event, it's good that a plan exists but its existence doesn't affect the very unlikeliness of the event it is for happening.

It would be a good start if Germany actually started to spend the 2% on defence that is part of the NATO agreement rather than freeloading and expecting NATO to come to their rescue.

If I absolutely had to attack somewhere in Europe, Germany would be high on the list. Their army will have some rather nasty broomsticks to answer with but I'd be confident I'd be able to resist them.
