A jobless Stafford man has fathered nine children with two sisters and is letting taxpayers foot the bill for raising them.

Former railway worker Dave Bradley, of Whitby Close, Highfields, has been on £350-a-week invalidity benefit with angina for the last three years and is hoping to have even more children.

Apart from his nine by partner Tina Gilbert and her sister Diane, who are both claiming family credit and family allowance, he also has six children from three previous failed marriages and an affair.

Today neighbours also revealed that fed-up residents are trying to get anti-social behaviour orders placed on the family.

Balding Mr Bradley, aged 53, who describes himself as a Peter Stringfellow lookalike, said: "I don't class myself as a scrounger and my kids are no trouble at all. People are trying to hound me out of my house."

"I just like having kids – and do my best for them. It has nothing to do with anyone else what I do."

Tina, 33, has forgiven him for cheating on her with her 27-year-old sister Diane, who also lives on the Highfields estate. "He is a bit of a lad – but I love him and do want more children," she said.

Tina has seven children – Emily and Stephanie, nine; Hazel, seven; Liam, five; Chloe, four; Owen, two and Samantha, nine months. Tanya, eight, and Victoria, five, are Diane's youngsters.

Mr Bradley, who claims he is also on good terms with his ex-wives, said that all the children were always together at his home.

"It is like one big happy family, and I hope it's going to get bigger," he said. "I've always said to Tina I'd like enough for our own football team and she's up for it."

Neighbour Andrew Higgins said: "It's a joke. The kids run riot around here."

What chance do we have when the scroungers are out-breeding the earners?

Give it a few generations and we'll have regressed to cavemen (albeit cavemen with Sky+ / cable)

I think you'll find that it means "two women who were sisters", ie. the bloke's wife and the wife's sister.

This is why the Welfare State needs a MAJOR shakeup, SOON otherwise these workshy scum who expect and not give will literally suck this country, and its workers dry.

It appears that one half of society (my half) is working to provide services and the money to use those services to the other half. A fine balance that for the last 10 years has been artificially propped up by cheap credit. Christ help us in the next 10 years when this blighted system becomes unsustainable. £4 a litre petrol anyone?

You do realise that each one of this mans children will probably grow up with ambition to "claim dole" just like it's daddy?

The whole lot of them should be forcibly sterilised.

Who wants to bet that the sisters look like Wayne and Waynetta!

It's worse than that iirc. I think you will find that a quarter of society is working to pay for the quarter of society that is now employed in Government which provides money and services to the other half who do fark all.

A fine example of why the welfare state needs drastic reform.

What is the solution, life time limits on welfare claims, as in the American model, or more drasticically still children taken into care if parents have them with no means of support?.

So we still end up paying for them and Mr and Mrs Mega-Breeder have even less responsibility?

I doubt Mrs Mega-Breeder will spend 9 months pregnant if she won't get to keep the child.

They might discover contraception.

Edited to add: Besides we will be paying for them either way.

Should dump people like this in a Nuclear Reactor. Obviously not a Magnox or Pressurized Water Reactor, you'd want to put them in a Fast Breeder Reactor.

Liberalism, just like Conservatism and Socialism, has its undesirable extremes, and this is the sort of person you end up with when the state is too Liberal.

It's seen as so normal to have a completely fd-up tangled web of a life these days, with so many other lives caught up in its wake, that to be 'ordinary' is looked down upon by the Grauniad-reading 'Liberal elite'. They see this as 'diversity in action' and encourage it.

Seriously, read the Society Guardian on Tuesdays. Written and read by hearts bled dry of common sense, condemning anyone with the merest intention of just getting on with being respectable.

It's gotta stop.
