What Value to suggest for Insurance purposes ?

Last year my Insurance Value was 95K but this year ( Feb 2024 ) they have reduced the value to £ 85K ..... ?

Any thoughts ?

I am renewing my 718 Spyder insurance this week ( also PDK and MY 2021) I have an agreed value of £87.5k which seems about right looking at current OPC prices.

Yep unless the car has several expensive/overpriced extras such as e.g. PTS and ceramics possibly buckets looks like top £80ks is about right.

My 2021 model manual GT4 insured for £85k.

Which insurance companies are currently offering agreed value policies?

Hi John ( WG )

I will discuss this with my Broker / Insurance Co. ( ERS Prestige ) ... also a New Endorsement for this year ' Theft restrictions ( secure / underground parks ) ' which will also have to be explained before I renew . Plus £323 increase on Premium !!

Hi Black Spyder - I am also with ERS and a similar increase year on year to you! Fortunately, the Macan was reduced by about the same amount (don't know why) so overall cost same as last year - I feared much worse!

I’ve just switched to an agreed value policy for my 981 Spyder with Lockton (underwritten by Aviva) who have not required a tracker. AV can be self certified apparently though I did get a Club valuation. Policy does not accumulate an NCB - I guess ERS would be the same? - so could be an issue if it’s an only car.
My suspicion is that anyone who steals a “valuable” car nowadays will assume it has a tracker and act accordingly, so in practice it’s not much of a deterrent.
