After reading the posts on here regarding the Britcar 24hr race, I still have no clue what is going on.

I am trying to find somewhere to camp on Fri & Sat nights and have tried calling Whittlebury Park, as suggested on the race flyer, but cannot get through to a human.

Does anyone have the slightest clue of any campsites that will be open ?

With the prospect of excellent racing it would be a real shame to see this event flop

Have you tried the phone number for camping enquiries on the EERC website?

Whittlebury are open, they wouldnt take a booking and said just turn up on the day. Cost £20 per night for a caravan.

Don't know about anyone else but i'll be in the car park with a sleeping bag in the back of the motor if i feel the need for a sleep...

Or possibly under one of the grandstands

Just remember the chaos is down to silverstone not the race organisers. COmplaints about the way spectators are handled at race circuits should be directed to the circuit owners not the indevidual race organisers.

I'll probably be found sleeping standing up in a pit garage somewhere !!!!

Oh I'm sure everyone knows who the lack of organisation is down to...no enthusiast would arrange an event this badly !

Chaos or no chaos, I know that it will still be a great weekend !

To be fair a certain person they would not be either a 24 Hour Race or a Britcar Series if it was not for that certain person.

Also the general oppinion among the people I talk to in the Industry is that Britcars will replace the British GT Championship and the 13 car BTCC since their are 55 cars starting I think the chap deserves.
