Watch for golf

Hi All. I took up golf a couple of years ago following my retirement and now play most weeks. I'm not good but am improving. I currently use an app on my phone for distances and tracking scores but am thinking9 this would easier to do on a smartphone of some kind. I don't normally wear a watch but so I'm loo,I g for suggestions

I've looked at 'golf' watches but I think they probably too specific for me. If I get a watch I want something I can use for more than just golf and it must therefore have NFC for googlepay or similar as well as message alerts etc. Suggestions please.
