Ghostbusters - Frozen Empire

Had a quick look for a thread but didnt see one, liking the look of this as a big Ghostbusters geek,

Cant help but think this will flat.
I was hyped for Afterlife but was left a bit deflated leaving the cinema after watching it. The last 20 minutes was basically a rehash of the 1984 original with Gozer. They could have done so much more differently.
It was nice that you got to see the "old" cast in Afterlife but this is where they should have stayed - bringing them back in frozen empire feels like flaying a dying horse.
Besides the fact, Ghostbusters used to be about ghosts, not climate events ;-)

I agree with you to an extent, I was certainly very excited when Afterlife was announced as it basically came from nowhere, had been done very much under the radar and was quite the surprise. But for me the third act was the best part of the film and really elevated it. It was still already far better than the other one we got but the tie in to the originals really worked for me.

I'll watch this one and I do hope it's good but I agree I'm not as excited about it as I was for Afterlife.

I enjoyed Afterlife, it was a lot better than the female reboot.

I'll be watching the new one.
