From November 2022 to end of August 2023 I received emails from Ebay Seller Team every 2 weeks offering 80% off their fees. I used a couple of them to sell some stuff. But then they suddenly stopped in August and I haven't received a single one since and they're not in my junk folder either frown . Of course now I have some stuff to sell I would like one please. Has anyone had this happen and is there a reason for it or way to get them started again? I've logged into my account and made some draft listings, hoping that this would 'trigger' Ebay into seeing that I'm still alive and have some st to sell, so send him a listing promotion, but they are not playing ball grumpy .

Keep an eye out on hotukdeals, there's usually at least a 70% off about once a month. 80% off or the £1 max fees are rarer and offered to fewer people.

eg, posted an hour ag, https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ebay-80-off-selli...

Ah, unfortunately those aren't generic but rather specific to your own account, so the poster of that ad is just posting the promo that they have received for their own account. It doesn't work for anyone else (and I have tried this, and also old ones in the past). frown

I’m in the same position; I haven’t had an offer in months and I have stuff to sell.

I still get them every 5-6 weeks. I have not sold anything for a long time, but buy a few things each month. Do you buy much?

I assume you need to be active buying and they are trying to tempt you to sell.

Not true. smile

The 80% offer worked for me off that link, and I've done it many times previously. Just try it.

Sometimes they don't work until the actual offer period, so failing that, try tonight's 70% one too, https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ebay-70-off-fees-...

No sir.

When clicked takes me to My Ebay and "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only."

If you get the deal, then you will have already received the same Ebay promo email. As the wording says, they are by invite only frown .

In response to the other guy, no, I haven't bought owt off Ebay for quite a while. Do you think that could be it? I need a couple of USB and charger cables as it happens. I wonder if that might trigger them ? ? ?

Nope, no promo emails or messages received here.

Try the links again on Friday, once the offers are running.

Otherwise - could someone else in your house be accepting those offers on their acccount? Mrs_Shtu has an ebay account too, and whichever one of us accepts the offers first, locks the other person out - if I accept the offer, she can't.

Works for me (with no promo mail).

Although I get zero fees as a friends and family thing anyway, but the offer above does show as having worked when I try.

Just looked in my eBay and I have had them offered every couple of days for the last two months.

Maybe it’s you OP.

No, only me clicking them. Just tried clearing all ebay cookies and also incognito window, same message after logging in. They are invite only, I guess you are one of the chosen few. Do you regularly buy st on ebay ?

I buy and sell a fair bit, but I -never- get the promotional emails, I click through from HUKD.

I've got a few ebay accounts. The 80% off gets offered every 2 weeks on them. This basically means I don't ever need to pay the full fees as I just cancel and relist anything that doesn't sell during the next promo offer.

One of my accounts no longer qualifies, it's because I've fallen bellow their seller performance metrics. This was down to me cancelling sold listings a few times with the reason being 'out of stock'. I just used it as a default reason if someone changed their mind. It could be too much negative feedback, not marking things as dispatched quick enough, etc.

I sold a few things on the 80% deals
I still get it offered every couple of weeks.
No idea how it’s decided..
