funny smell

Recently noticed that on decelerating after a bit of heavy-right-footedness, there seems to be a slight sulphurous smell in the air.

Anyone got any ideas? Leaky cat, do you think?

(I have checked my trousers, nothing untoward in there, before anyone comes up with a funny comment)

Might be your brakes depending on heavy that foot was!

That's the same smell you get when the battery is being overcharged, but why it would appear in the circumstances you describe, I can't imagine.
