I just got my 18" Zender Siena wheels from Lars at Gazella Racing and I need to order some tyres. I'm split between the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 or the Pirelli PZero Nero.

The car is my wife's for everyday use which she drives spiritedly but not she's not looking for track qualities ;) I have heard that the the Goodyears suffer with road noise, also as I am going from 16" rims to 18" rims I don't want the side walls to be too hard and I reckon the Pirelli may be slightly softer than the Goodyear?

I have posted the same Q on GTVV6 forum but it's a little quiet on there today and I want to get some tyres ordered now!

Thoughts/comments chaps? :scratchchin: Rich...

Not tried the Zeroes at all and not tried the F1s in that size, so not much help from me I'm afraid!

There are relatively few GTVV6-ers on 18s, so the statistical value of the replies might be questionable...

Not tried the Zero Neros, but I can say that I've not found the Pirelli carcasses to be very reliable. I don't think the GSD3s will be noisy, but I think they will likey transmit more road shock.

I think the Zero Neros are more a trackday tyre, and will likely have a shorter live, but I really can't say from experience.

Well in the end I decided on neither of these and have ordered Bridgestone Potenza RE 050A (Asymmetric) from www.mytyres.co.uk at a remarkable £101.10 each in c. vat. delivered. I thought that was pretty good and as I have been happy with Bridgestones on both my TVR S3C and the Griff on SO2 pp's I thought I'd give them a try! Rich...
