Dog insurance price rises.

My 3 year old dog needs his insurance renewing soon. He's with the Insurance factory Ltd. The renewal price has gone from £47 per month to £84 per month, yikes. He has had 2 expensive operations in the past and has some plates in one leg.

Is it likely the increase is because of his operations, future complications or has insurance nearly doubled across the board? Just curious really as I may have to shop around.

Oh yes. Ours went from a palatable £26 a month to £147 on a life policy, in a matter of a few years. (4k CT scan didnt help)

We now take out a new (doesn't cover existing conditions) policy ever year. (This current year we have claimed 2.2k, due to a Cushing's diagnosis)
