Hi all, I just bought a new (to me) V8 Vantage (yay!!) but it is not really clear to me whether it is a 12MY or a 12.25MY. Any idea how I could check this?

Best,

From reading the Definitive Guide to Gaydon-era Astons, the 2012.25 updates were front bumper (& splitter), side skirts, rear diffuser, bigger front brakes, wider rear wheels and the wider tyres from the ‘S’ (245 front, 285 rear), duck-tailed rear hatch (if it’s the Coupe).

Quite a few electronics & system changes too

New V8S style design and aero-package including front splitter, rear diffuser in plastic (option for CF) and flared side sills as standard.

There are other items best to purchase Neal Grants:- The Definitive Guide to Gaydon era Aston Martin: Publishers. Kindle Edition.

One of the model year 12.25 V8V changes in pictures.
Contour of the rear spoiler.

V8V 2005 to 2012

V8V from 2012.25

Model years have traditionally been from September, following the factory annual holiday, but for 2012 the changes were a little later.

Yes, I saved all pictures from the sale add (they were pretty good, what can I say)
