Hi All,

Early days of looking for a 570s Spider currently - coming from a 997 GT3

Any thoughts on this car ? Price and spec. I have read about white being unpopular but this looks quite good to me.

Am I right in thinking that I could take this into a McLaren dealer, have an inspection and buy an extended warranty ?

Thanks !

Yes! After you have owned the car 90 days if warranty has expired, which tbf isn’t much use

It's not white...........it's a lot more baby blue in the flesh.

Spec looks good - lift, extended paddles, decent wheels, audio, interior trim. Plus quite a bit of external carbon fibre, which isn't that common.

Price looks competitive. Price history on AT
01/12/2023 £91,965
09/11/2023 £94,965
25/10/2023 £91,965
19/10/2023 £93,965
10/10/2023 £95,965
03/10/2023 £98,985

As it's been up for a while and at this price for 2 months now, there is likely some room for negotiation.

Muriwai doesn't do it for me, but it is rare and probably worth more than standard fridge white.

Personally if I were buying I wouldn't worry about a McWarranty, but I would get V Engineering to inspect it before purchase. But yes standard terms are 90 days ownership before you can put a warranty on.

Dealer reviews seem positive.

I don't see any mention of PPF, so after 23k miles I'd want to check the paint and bodywork condition on the frontend carefully (it may be fine though).

Seems like a car worth checking out, and potentially buying if it's good cosmetically, PPI comes back good, and if you like the colour in the metal.

Pictures won't do the colour justice; it's really quite nice in the flesh, acquaintance of mine has a spider in this colour.
Needs strong sunlight like most of the McLaren pearls to really come to life, aside from that the spec looks ok too.

Have driven this car, baby blue in the flesh, quite stunning looking and good spec. No warranty Currently and they offer their own.

This car was commented on recently on one of the McLaren FB groups, and the dealer posted various details about what a great car it was.

And, it may well be - but in that post they stated that it comes with '3 month warranty'.

Never dealt with them - they may be great - but personally, I have zero time for dealers who believe they can offer a warranty that's less than the 6 month period CRA gives you, where it's assumed any fault was there at purchase unless they can prove otherwise.

Might prove difficult to get the car PPI checked at V as it’s up in York ! Leeds McLaren the closest .
