Looking to buy one of these beasts.
Discussion
Hi,
I am looking to buy my first tvr, and like the idea of the cerbera. I am, however, not much of a teccy and would value any advice re purchasing - what to look for / check, and more importantly to avoid.
Am interested in a 4.2 in autotrader - sounds a good buy, s reg with 20k on the clock, asking 17.
What does anyone think?
Cheers,

The main thing to bear in mind is that the asking price may not be the last big bill you have to pay. Make sure you have a decent slab of cash in reserve, i.e. don't spend all of your budget on the car. Also, get your potential purchase checked out by an expert (a reputatable TVR specialist) before commiting to a purchase.
Good luck,
Steve.
Good luck,
Steve.

Hi Steve, did you have a good time in France?
It's not on PH and it's not known locally as far as I can tell. I mean I don't recognise it from the local meets/run outs.
It does look a good price for the age but bear in mind it's done less than 3k per year.
Anyway, blatant plug, mine is going up privately after a dealer tossing me around. Similar price, open to negotiation. Nov '96. Full doors off, windows out respray and Speed12 headlight upgrade. Many Leven goodies, silicon and stainless hoses/pipes, 17" alloy upgrade, serviced by what many people on here regard as the Cerbera God, Joospeed (trackcar). Lots of other upgrades. Have a look on my profile. It's a known car amongst the North Yorkshire crowd.
If you think you might be interested then pop me an email with any questions. Picture on my profile with the 16" wheels, it now has the 17's and new tyres.
