Hi All
Just looking for some perspective on this,
Sold a property over 3 years ago and it has come back on the housing market and at the time of our original selling we agreed and instructed the estate agent to have professional photos taken,
We paid extra for the photos and to our surprise 15 out of 20 of the photographs of the property that we payed for are being used to re-market the property along with the exact description used in our sale,
Should we contact the agents voicing our annoyance at this ? or request a refund for the photos we thought/believed to own rights to ??

You don't expect estate agents to actually work for their money do you?

Just a refund would be a nice gesture

The amount of money they made on this deal would expect them to at least be professional but agree not work for the 💰

I suppose it depends on who owns the copyright for the pictures, as they can claim for copyright infringement.

It's likely to be the Estate Agent that you paid to get the professional photos done, or the photographer themselves.

If it's the same Estate Agent that is selling the house again, then they'll probably be okay with them using the photos again. If it's a different agent, then the first one may want to know...

Circa £1k,
There were some unscrupulous things went on the original estate agent which they did to massively line there own pockets but perhaps agree with earlier posts time to move on..

Who owns the copyright - sounds like it's the Estate Agents. They're entitled to do whatever they want, it's their property.

Honestly!
If your own sale went through OK, what’s the beef?
If your own sale didn’t go through OK, too late, that was 3 years ago.

I don’t see what it is to do with you if they used the same pictures. You paid an agreed price for a contract to sell your house. This later sale has nothing to do with you.

Phrase it correctly…. You paid an agreed price to sell the house & extra for good photos to sell the house.

The house sold. I don’t believe your paid extra to have nice pictures of the house for your memories.

There are many things in life to worry about this ain’t one of them
