Hello.

Late 2002. First supplied by Bramley( ie not OPC) Basalt black(my preferred colour), 21000miles, 2 owners, FPSH, black leather, PCM, fully elec, heated, memory, crested seats, s/roof, park distance, rain sensor wipes, tracker, alloy pack, quad/sports back boxes, DMS ECU remap( to whatever BHP you believe) £ 62995

Reasonable price?

Also if I go to an OPC to buy the approved warranty will anything in their inspection show up the DMS mod?

Unlikely OPC inspection will pick up DMS mod, but if it explodes you need to get it flashed to standard before taking it to the dealer as they may ship it out to german to investigate.

If you are bothered about OPC warranty though, I'd insure it pasts their inspection before buying as getting it up to that standard may cost you a lot if they find any issues. Best bet is to pay for the inspection if you are serious, but be willing to not buy it if they spot any repairs needed before they will warranty.

Can't comment on the price as all I know is GT3 prices

Price sounds about right.
That car books at around £57k in glasses guide with 18k miles, so they probably paid £55k for it & have stuck £7k on top.
Agree with DanH - get an inspection done on it by an OPC as part of the deal on buying it, that way you have no nasty surprises if you buy first then get it checked.
Their check will not highlight the DMS mod, however I believe part of the check is a road test & if they notice your boost going over standard then they might ask questions. A modified car is a lot faster than a standard car which could be noticed on a road test.

If you are not sure then there are plenty others out there.

My old 52 plate Tiptronic was 59k from an OPC.

Had all the toys, and 34k.

However it was a C16.

C16 should not make any difference, it's the same car as the ones that are imported by the OPCs

My old Boxster S was a C16 (because I bought it in Germany), when I p/ex'd it, dealer knew and it made no difference to the value. Why should it?

Nevetas - sounds about right - the extra mileage probably knocked yours down a couple of £k.

I think that slightly higher mileage on Porsche's is no big deal, but the dealers love to say "yes sir you can happily do 12k a year on this car and it wont harm the value" then when you trade it in they suck through their teeth & say "ooooh its done more than 5k a year sir so its affected its value" !!

Price looks quite reasonable to me.

I paid £66.5k for my early 2003 tt about three months ago. Similarly high spec. Very similar mileage. X50 power upgrade.

Originally supplied by Bramleys probably means and Import, Adjust slightly and make sure it's C16.

Number of Owners it a big thing and an import usually means it'll have more than average.

Good colour and spec.

When I bought my last 996 (from Guildford OPD) I was told by my sales guy that they buy cars from Bramley when they need to to suppliment their own stock.

I have always thought that Bramley's prices are a little too high - given them a look when buying my last 2 cars & they seem to ask very top dollar for their cars - pretty much in line with OPC's.

Getting it inspected before buying is going to be a mare. By the sound of things they are selling on behalf of someone so need 24hrs to get it into the showroom. Too complicated.

I'll keep looking. I wish so many tts were'nt bloody silver!! As for the dodgy 'wood' finish on some, what were they thinking??

Thanks

hear, hear!

also mileage much more important in Porsche prices than no. of owners given average ownership is 18 months and people chop and change more frequently than that on the top models

btw price seems reasonable provided good nick and no wood
