Dear All,
I’m a bit stuck.
Bought the Cerb (2001 –with ‘small lights’ pods) two weeks ago. Brought it over to Lux and have to prepare it for their version of the MOT.
Front, dipped, headlights require resetting.
Gained access through the wheelarch panel and found that the bulb housing can be rotated to the required degree.
Problem is, the housing is retained to the light body housing by three Phillips-head screws. Managed to get the visible one free but the other two are up the proverbial monkey’s-arse !
Anyone have any suggestions as to ‘special tools’ or pod removal ?
The only alternative I can think of is sawing a larger access hole in the wheel arch – Ouch !

I have a ratchet spanner with a phillips screwdriver attachment. Worked fine when I changed a light due to smashed by stone. Attachment makes it kind of like a right angled screwdriver if you know what I mean. Mine are aftermarket S12 lights though.

Thats exactly what i did, when I had to change one of the lights due to it being smashed by a stone....you have either have "girly" hands or be very "bendy" otherwise....

Had same problem, ended up popping the whole headlamp housing out.
This is attatched to the mounting ring, via 3 Plastic Sochets by 3 bolts with balls on the end.
Used circlip pliers to force them gently apart

Hope this makes sense

Mmmmm, sounds like a preferable step - If only I understood what you meant. Do you mean you performed all that from within the inside of the pod / wing / arch ?
I'll give it another coat of looking at tomorrow but a big THANK YOU ! for responding.

Make sense to me last night, you need to get in there and have a look.

And yes did have to separate the Headlamp housing from the mounting ring inside the wing.

The mounting ring is the bit thats glued or riveted in to the pod/wing. This stays in place
