I’m thinking of buying this - going to have a look at it over the weekend. This would be a second car to run alongside our Merc E250 diesel estate, the school run is only 1.5 miles and doing it in the Merc is giving it DPF issues. It’s also a big ole barge and doesn’t always fit in the available parking spaces.

Any reason not to buy this? Not too fussed about the £48 a month battery lease, at least this means we know the battery is in good nick, and the car is pretty cheap to start off with:

Look at it this way

The cheapest battery owned Zoe on AT is £5500

At this price it'd take you nearly 3 years to break even on the £48 a month battery lease.

One concern is that the battery leased Zoe could be difficult to sell on later with that £48 a month lease attached to it. The extra expense will put people off, so you'll have to drop the price accordingly.

Happy owner of the same model since 2016.

You can buy the lease out quite easily, swings around roundabouts whether it’s worth it (you do get breakdown cover as part of it).

I actually think when the car is that cheap the battery lease makes sense.

Small amount a month to lease the battery that is basically your engine warranty on the car in my head.

Given the circumstances, I'd go for that too.
